Guest guest
I had my first treatment of Taxol on Wednesday. I should have known I was in for it whent he Dr asked me if I had any pain killers left. By Friday afternoon I started noticing pain and by Sat could barely walk. He said one of the side effects could be severe muscle and joint pain and boy he was not kidding. For me it was from my waist down. Upper body was ok. It is getting better, and today I am controlling it with 3 advils at a time. I also broke out in a " pinchy " rash on my upper are near the port. Did anyone else get this? It feels ok now, although it is still visible. Hand in there Ren. Guest guest
I also had horrible leg pain from the Taxol. I was kind of depressed about it because I wasn't expecting it and I was so relieved that I wasn't barfing like I did on the AC. It was at its worst on day 4 after the treatment. Once the doc realized how much it was hurting she told me to keep ahead of it with the painkillers and she put me on a decadron taper. I hope this helps. I am now one month post Taxol and I still have numbness in my feet and tingling in my hands. Thankfully my hair is growing back though!
