Guest guest
Just as a follow up. We want to keep our girls together for first grade because it's a big transition with going from 1/2 day school to full day school. Also, we figure in another year should be talking a lot better, and she'll be able to tell me about what is going on in school. I think it is only in the past 100 years that twins were actually separated. In the past, kids of one family were schooled in a one room school room. I figure it didn't hurt any of those twins to be together. Also, my girls are very different. I think by the time they are in middle school, they'll be picking different elective classes. Right now, I'm more worried about 's speech than the girls being " too close " . I also think it is up to the parents to figure out what is best for their kids and family. I don't think it is always best to separate twins or to always keep them together. Guest guest
One of my 3mo twins has just been diagnosed with Torticollis and Plagio. She was a transverse breech Baby B born at 37 weeks (5lbs, 14oz) Does anyone else have experience with twins? I also have a 2.5 year old. We will be seeing the Craniofacial specialist within the next couple of weeks and I am just trying to get a jump start on the process... Guest guest
WElcome to the group. What an ordeal you have been through with your twins! Have you heard of Cranial tech? A lot of the girls on this board (including myself) use their DOC band and are very hapy with it. There are also moms that use OrthoAmerica's Starband. We chose Doc for various reasons (I felt more secure and confident with them) and my son, has already seen GREAT improvement in 2 weeks. He started therapy at 4 months, so he head is still nice and malleable. I am pretty sure they have offices in CT. The website is www.cranialtech.com > Hi, my twins were born at 29 weeks and one spent 4 months in NICU and > the other one spent 9 months....they have terrible plagiocephaly. we > went through Hanger orthotics at our hospital to get helmets...and my > boys will absolutely not wear them, i am not sure that they are fitted > correctly because they get angry red marks and even bruises. we have > gone through months and months of trying and refitting. now they are > going to be a year, and we have made no progress....anyone have > experience with this type of helmet? we are in connecticut and i would > love to try someone new or a new helmet mfg.... > it seems like it is getting too late...postioning does not help at all. > they have been through so much, that i hate to make them miserable and > i am very concerned that Hanger cannot fit them correctly. > HELP! > Staci
