Guest guest
absolutly our DAN in kansas Baptist has been doing DAN before DAN WAS DAN!! hehe. he has recovered our son! he is in overland park area. and an MD immunologist Issues with specialists-immunologist My son is 5 now and been doing biomedical intervention for 2 years and doing great!!! I hate to say this but perhaps too great. Specialists don't "see the autism" here and think I'm crazy. They didn't see how he was before. I try to explain but the more I go into biomedical therapies the more and more they think I'm crazy. I'm not the doctor. Does anyone know of a specialist in immunology that believes in biomedical interventions?
Guest guest
We have not talked or seen but I have heard good things about Dr Sudhir Gupta (So California area) & Dr Goldberg (NIDS - who is not an immunologist but believes that an adverse immune system causes the symptoms of Autism in many cases).I think the mainstream doctors are "afraid" to be open minded & see the link between Immune dysregulation & Autism as the potential of linking over-vaccination comes into play & the establishment is very harsh at any doctor who is open minded in a patients favor - really sad I think.I am interested in knowing what interventions worked best for you. Thanks,To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, July 28, 2010 8:17:31 PMSubject: Issues with specialists-immunologist My son is 5 now and been doing biomedical intervention for 2 years and doing great!!! Guest guest
We were really lucky that we didn't have to get that " deep " into interventions. Nystatin and fluconzale were the two things that woke him up from the yeast over growth. Then the different supplements, really. We were on the diet for a year which I think helped clean up his hoard diet and heal his gut. We do B12 shots to keep his meth cycle purring. We are now doing HBOT but just hit a road block because he is having issues clearing his ears. But, this past winter we had an issue with strep/ocd. I want to talk to someone who doesn't think PANDAS is BS. > > We have not talked or seen but I have heard good things about Dr Sudhir Gupta > (So California area) & Dr Goldberg (NIDS - who is not an immunologist but > believes that an adverse immune system causes the symptoms of Autism in many > cases). > I think the mainstream doctors are " afraid " to be open minded & see the link > between Immune dysregulation & Autism as the potential of linking > over-vaccination comes into play & the establishment is very harsh at any doctor > who is open minded in a patients favor - really sad I think. > I am interested in knowing what interventions worked best for you. > > Thanks, > > > > ________________________________ > > To: mb12 valtrex > Sent: Wed, July 28, 2010 8:17:31 PM > Subject: Issues with specialists-immunologist > > > My son is 5 now and been doing biomedical intervention for 2 years and doing > great!!! Guest guest
As of yet there is not magic pill or cure, just years of work with skilled in immunology (like Dr. Goldberg or Dr. ) to help correct the problems with your child’s immune system. We started with Dr. G when my son was five. We did DAN before that. is now twenty-one and recovered. My son, , was diagnosed when he was four years old. The leading authority on autism said he would never be okay. He was going to end up in a group home. Today does all the things the professionals said could never happen. He studies mechanical engineering at a university on a merit scholarship. excels academically but more importantly has friends and even a girlfriend for a while. He is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and was president of the Jewish Student Association. is a typical college student who drinks an occasional beer, goes on dates, stays out too late with friends and then sleeps through eight o’clock classes. I couldn’t be more proud. When was little, I never thought these things were possible. Unbelievable as it seems, this is the same child who wanted to spend every day all day long plugging in a portable radio into every outlet in the house. ’s long road to recovery was the hardest thing I have ever lived through. If you email me privately I can forward what we did medically to help him. But it is a long process and not for sissies. Hope this helps, Marcia Hinds

Guest guest
I love the way you write, Marcia!! My daughter is now 19 and still recovering. Didn't find out she had asperger's until the age of 17, that's how high functioning she is. Although I always knew there was 'something different' about her. She slid under the radar b/c of her intelligence, etc. She is doing well.....as long as she takes her supps. She is not on a diet, refuses. Anyway, I feel blessed everyday when I read posts, and I know that my road could have been even more difficult than it has been, not to say it's been easy. Anyway, I love your last line so much that I want to quote it again: Biomed is a long process and not for sissies I may have to borrow that from time to time!
