One detail not in the news article is that Officer Schram was thought to be DOA by EMS, but was resuscitated. The old field adage, " never give up, " was never more true. I just got a chance to check in here. Officer Schramm is still hospitalized but making progress. He was dead on the scene but was revived by fellow Officers from Washingtom Twp, NJSP and the lin rescue squad. The subject that shot Officer Schramm was DOA at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle was questioned for a while and then released. He claimed he was forced to get into the car at gunpoint. Likely story. He is being charged with weapons possession only.
