Chesterfield policeman shot and killed

A rookie Chesterfield County Police Officer was shot and killed this morning

as he and another officer responded to a call in the Plum Creek Subdivision

near Southside Speedway. The suspect was also shot and killed. Police identify

the officer as Cappelletty, 23. He had been a police officer about 6

months having graduated from the Chesterfield Police Academy earlier this year.

My heart goes out to the friends and family of Officer Cappelletty. May he

rest in peace
