Guest guest
, We have a few members that have the Bumbo seat and they all love it! If you read the web site you'll see that it's safe on a baby's spine. > Does anyone have one of these? Do you like it? The website says > it's useful for plagiocephaly and it looks like it. Guest guest
, I do not have a bumbo seat but was able to see one in action during a conference at Cranial Technologies in March. They are excellant for a baby that can pretty much sit up on their own. I'm not sure how well it would work if the baby didn't have the strength in the back/neck. There are some members that have used or are using them, that I'm sure will chime in with first hand experience. Dustie > Does anyone have one of these? Do you like it? Guest guest
I asked the same thing. I noticed them in a lot of pics and every one said that they are great. After visiting the website I was sold. I have one on order and is scheduled for delivery on Monday. I can't wait. (mom to S., CA soon to be banded) > Does anyone have one of these? Do you like it? Guest guest
, I don't have first-hand experience with the bumbo, but I will be ordering one since I am expecting in October. I think this product can be very helpful to repo parents especially, and I want an alternative to the bouncie I couldn't live without when Remy was little (and helped her to develop brachy/plagio, unfortunately!) I'm very excited to give it a try. I have seen a couple of posts addressing the problem of keeping them entertained while in the bumbo - it's up off the floor level, so toys can be dropped, and then the babies can't pick them up. The two ideas I've heard of to help are to have a breakfast tray in front of the baby to keep the toys at the right height, and to place the bumbo next to a baby gym with dangling toys from the soft overhead arcs. Let me know what you think of it if you order the bumbo! I do see them for sale on ebay sometimes, too. Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > Does anyone have one of these? Do you like it? Guest guest
I talked to my husband about it last night, and we decided to order it. I was just waiting to see if anything was posted today. Thanks for the tips about entertaining - I never thought about the toys being out of reach, since my son is still easily entertained by looking things (although starting to explore more with his hands, so that won't last long). I'll let you know how it works - I can't wait til it gets here!
Guest guest
Everyone out there with Bumbo chairs....I just looked this up to see what it was and these are the neatest chairs! This would have been the perfect thing to get my son up off his head. Too bad I did not find it sooner. He is almost 5 months now and we are planning to get him banded soon. Should I even spend the money on one of these now? We are trying to come up with the money for his band in case we can not win our insurance fight. Our PT says once he gets banded it will not matter if he lays flat on his head. Also he is in the 97% for his height/weight so I am afraid he will outgrow it too fast. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Lori (Ian's Mom) rmlabarbera1 <rmlabarbera@...> wrote: I talked to my husband about it last night, and we decided to order it. I was just waiting to see if anything was posted today.
