Hi Carol, My doctor was hesitant at first to put my 11 year old, 65 lb.

daughter on 20 mg of Zyrtec a day but since she wasn't getting relief with

other medications she went ahead and okay'd it and said it shouldn't hurt

her. She does just fine on this dosage right now and doesn't have any side

effects but I do worry as to why other doctors are more hesitant. What kind

of damage can this dosage or a stronger one cause.

Dear Donna

Hi-I am collecting the articles on zyrtec dosages at this moment to take to

my doctor, but wanted to let you know that Myra wrote to me recently on this

subject, to say that zyrtec had been field trialed at up to 60 mg per day

with no ill effects except for sleepiness in some people. So I'm sure there

is nothing to worry about with your little girl. Hugs, Carol
