Guest guest
Hi Dara, I just wanted to jump onto this...I think I just read a post about this topic ont he tort board as well? I can tell you that in my limited time on this board (since July of 2003) that there have been quite a few babies with 3 bands. , one of the other mods, for example, just got a third band for her dd and is still seeing correction. I'm sure she has already posted about it too, but I am behind in the posts. I also wanted to respond to a comment that the doc made about the bones in the skull thickening. When I was in Phoenix at the CT home office, that was something we talked about. They were not in the opinion that when the skull layers on bone, the assymetricalness will stay the same, the head just gets bigger. I don't think we truly know the ramifications of all of this since the plagio boom is just getting under way! Our kids are guinea pigs for many of these docs who saw 10 kids or less a year with plagio before the back to sleep campaign began. They just don't have the experience, in general, to know what is going to happen....What a scary thought! and here, I was trying to be reassuring! Guest guest
Hi Dara, It seems to simply just get bigger. The assymetry would not change, but it may not be as noticeable because of hair. However, the key point is that the shape of the head would be the same, just larger. I hope this helps!!! > > > > > My daughter is now 1 and has had 2 DOC bands so far. Guest guest
I am glad that you have made a decision, one way or another. If you can get additional correction, then I think that another band is the way to go (if at all possible!) At least this way, you can never say " if only!!! " Good luck!!! > > > > > > > My daughter is now 1 and has had 2 DOC bands so far.
