Guest guest
Hi Mish, The younger a baby is banded the better and faster the correction. Average time is 4.5 months but our younger babies are graduate before that. --- In Plagiocephaly , " cjwrcw " <michele_walsh@y...> wrote: > I am gathering info here. Guest guest
Hi Michele, It varies on an umber of factors~ age, severity, type of band, growth spurts. Genereally speaking, the younger the baby, the less time a baby will wear a band. --- In Plagiocephaly , " cjwrcw " <michele_walsh@y...> wrote: > I am gathering info here. Guest guest
Hi Mish, Hannah's first band fit for 10 wks starting at 4.5 mos old. Band #2 fit for 16 weeks and she got it at 8 mos. The younger they are banded the BETTER and faster correction they will get. You also have to take severity and rate of growth into account. Some babies starting even older than Hannah did have been in it less than 3 mos b/c they have just had some major growth spurts. Cranial Tech just shaves it until there is no more left to shave and then we always had more correction to go, so we've done another. Locally speaking, NOPCO uses a passive helmet so the wear time would be longer. , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma --- In Plagiocephaly , " cjwrcw " <michele_walsh@y...> wrote: > I am gathering info here.
