Guest guest
Thanks for the update Traci! I'm glad you're happy w/the DOCband and all is well so far. Hilarious how BCBS covered the Hanger Helmet, but NOT the DOCband because it's " experimental " ?? But the Hanger was not experimental?? OMG, how irritating!! If you haven't already, ask Cranial Tech for the helpful insurance appeals packet of info that may be of help. Check out our FILES & LINKS sections " Insurance Help " folders. Good luck. Guest guest
Traci, It's good to see a post from you! I am glad you were able to transition from an option not working for you to a better situation with support from your doctor. So it sounds like Kiley has been in the band for almost a week now? How is the intial fit and wear situation coming along? Also, good luck with your insurance. Besides the links/insurance and files/insurance, there is also FDA approval info in the links/helmets and bands folder, and lots of Docband efficacy studies in the links/plagio studies and research folder. Please update us on Kiley's progress when you can, Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > My husband and I took Kiley to Houston for a second opinion. Guest guest
Hi Tracie, Glad that you are able to move forward now. Please appeal to BCBS. They paid for our Docband but every state and employer policy is different. Natasha > My husband and I took Kiley to Houston for a second opinion. We were > very pleased with the doctor there. Guest guest
Hi Traci, I'm glad you're having a good experience with Kiley's new band. Very annoying about the denial about the band, esp for that reason when they already paid for one! Be sure to get the appeal packet from Cranial Tech and I would think that the fact that they paid for one would help in your appeal, esp since the DOCband is FDA approved. Be sure to keep us updated! , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, ma > My husband and I took Kiley to Houston for a second opinion. We were > very pleased with the doctor there.
