Guest guest
.. Wow! Such a long time to wait! I'm glad you'll be " on the road " to the surgeon tomorrow. Just drive SAFELY! Don't " daydream " too much while you're behind the wheel! And I'm certainly glad you didn't call your local vet for the surgery! I know vets know a lot, but .. Well, you might end up with kennel cough or something like that, and that would be NO GOOD! Congrats on the long-awaited appointment! SHINE SHINE SHINE!!! MY FIRST BIG DAY!!! As most of you probably know, here in Canada/Alberta the wait periods for surgery are generally several years. I have been waiting for my initial consult for almost 2 years now and IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!!! I drive the 90 minutes to see the surgeon tomorrow bright and early. I am so excited. I have my questions all ready to go and am bringing a note pad and my husband along with me. Generally with the surgeon I am seeing, one can expect surgery to follow within about 3 - 6 months. I have to lose 30 pounds however, and write daily in a food journal, which is fine. Here in Alberta we don't have much choice as to who we see. There are only 4 surgeons here and the waiting lists are huge for each one so usually you go to the first one you can get in with. I have been tempted to pay my local Veterinarian to perform the surgery. lol Anyways, I just wanted to share my awesome news... Oh YES and also...... some of you might remember some of my past posts with regards to dying during surgery and how I have been having panic attacks and sleepless nights because of being so scared.... Last night I actually had a dream that I came through the surgery with flying colors and everything went smoothly.. In my dream I woke up from surgery and said " I'm alive " What an incredible feeling.... I can't wait to join everyone on the losing side!!!!! I swear my blood pressure is through the rough today with excitement..... We are a very active support group. If the email becomes overwhelming, please change your setting to NO EMAIL!
