Guest guest Posted November 6, 2003 Report Share Posted November 6, 2003 I am new to the group Margie but my daughter has had rsd for over 5 years and me for almost 2 now. Anyway has the SCS and had to have it replaced but she had no problems like this with spreading, had problem with first one and cannot recall what it was but was minor and got a newer one and has had it close to 4 years now. Just so sorry you had this trouble and does seem that maybe the chances are more likely for problems than not although have no study proving that just from what have read do I say that. Did the rsd spread right away after your surgery and did taking it out stop the spreading or was it combination of that and meds? I have severe Fibro that if an SCS could help would have to think of doing so yet would be very scared also.
