I ,

A few have had cancer.... I'm not one of them.....

Do you have copies of your labs? If they pulled the whole gland... unless

you weight only about 50 pounds.. your dosage is wayyyyyy to low....

Armour would be much better for your body... it's contains T4, T3, T2,

T1, and calcitonin.... Levothyroxin is T4 only... so you dont' get the

benefit of the other T's and you don't get any calcitonin, at all...

Calcitonin helps our bodies pull calcium out of the blood and put it into

our bodies, preventing osteoporosis and keeping our bones good and

strong.

Hi , here!

I myself have had a total thyroidectomy. I am currently on 100mcg. of

Synthroid, and PTL will be prescribed Armour tomorrow, yay! I am very

excited. I am considering taking a lower dose of Synthroid with the Armour.

I too am extremely tired. Quite debilitating. No energy, and I used to be

the most energetic person. I will make sure to post tomorrow to let everyone

know.

I am just curious....How many people here have had their thyroid removed?

and is treatment with Armour drastically different for us, who have had

thyroidectomies?

Welcome

Blessings,

I Had my thyroid removed in 1998. I had a tumor on the issimus so

they took the hole thing. I didn't have they abilation. I'm

wondering would the armour work for me. I am currently taking

levothyroxine. Two different mg. .25 and .5 everyother day. I'm

still tired. Has anyone on this site had thyroid cancer?

I would appreciate any info.

---I had thyroid cancer years ago. (30) I had always been on

synthetics until a week and a half ago. I never had a doc that

wanted to check me even annually. I had been going my merry way

thinking that I was just getting old until the symptoms of only

being on T-4 became too obvious to ignore. I found this group

through my research and feel that by taking a proactive stance with

my health and having someone to bounce off of that I will regain

what I had lost. I can tell the difference already. I am multi-

dosing and doing OK.

Hi I'm glad to know that some others have had there

thyroid removed. I will try to get an appointment with my doc and

see what he says. Can't wait to hear how you do on the armour.

Thanks Fite
