Guest guest
Thanks all.Does anyone have an advice regarding vitamins while doing the SCD intro? Currently the boys are on a multi. Theyve been getting calcium from their almond milk which we won't be continuing obvioiusly... /t that is awesome - keep up the great work! Even if you don't want to " share " now, keeping a journal could potentially help others down the road. Plus, it'll be great to look back one day and say " wow! We went from here to there. " You BETTER share THAT one! lol. I'm so glad to hear you guys are seeing success! hooray! If I were to do SCD, I would probably follow it straight through (that's just me and I am hardly an Einstein), but SCD is way to heal the gut enough that by time you work your way up to the cheese and yogurts you SHOULD be able to handle it without any problem. How effective is that approach? I don't know. But I don't think I'd chance skipping any steps. I would try it pure - straight the way it's layed out. If it doesn't work, you can always go back, especially knowing you get results so quickly. Maybe Toni or can chime in. Good for you guys! Guest guest
Tom,I was just reading thru this thread (been gone a few days) and not to add to your confusion or frustration LOL butif you consider lowering or eliminating the "phenol/salicylate" foods, you may lose some of that ADD/ADHD stuff.Applying Feingold diet principles here has made a tremendous difference here.We switched from apple, grape or orange juice to lemonade, pineapple and grapefruit juices. As far as supplements to add, consider enzymes. Not SCD specific, just a general idea. Some SCD foods are high oxalate (almonds) so you may want to add some vitamins that help with oxalate levels... I think that they are biotin and B6 (or P5P which is a more bio-available form of B6) VSL#3 is a probiotic that some people use for helping with high oxalate, but it has strep lines which some people avoid andhas trace lactate. --- ToniTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Sun, June 27, 2010 11:26:22 AMSubject: Re: SCD with or without Dairy?
