My son has both of those same mutations, you should be taking Methyl B12 w/ folinic acid...avoid Nitrous Oxide...and avoid being injected w/ toxins...this mutation can cause a defect in the way your body detoxes environmental toxins, this is just what I understand from my limited research.LoriTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Mon, July 19, 2010 10:40:18 PMSubject: Genetic Testing

Fellow listmates-Just got back my results for MTHFR and I had 2 mutations c677t and A1298c-whatever that means. Toni and 's great input about these mutations prompted me to get tested. My OB ordered them for me and says she was surprised because most people with these mutations have repeated miscarriages. I have never had one-to my knowledge- but I do have a clotting problem and have to take ASA during pregnancy.

My questions are should hubby be tested and should I test all of my kids or just my autie? I got my test first because I can get it done at a free clinic,I will have to pay for the kids because they do not see kids at this clinic. Also, besides being at risk for cardiovascular issues, how else does this effect us?Is there a website or book where I can get the low down on this? I know Toni mentioned taking Bioavailable supplements, which ones would those be? Thanks in advance for your input,Melinda
