Hi everybody, I am Dan, an old member of the group who has not been in

touch for a few years now! Best wishes to each and everyone of you and

may God bless you. I hope you'll accept me back like the prodigal son

of the New Testament.

Dear Pierre, I am really sorry to find out that you are on dialysis

after all. I wish you the best possible outcome for this hard time of

your life. In God we all trust.

My condition has been slowly but steadily deteriorating all this time.

My last check up was back in April when my serum creatinine was around

1.6mg/dl, 24hr urine protein about 0.6gr and creatinine clearance near

75.

Today I visited my neph for a new follow up. I hope things did not get

much worse than this in the meantime, although the doctor worried me

somehow, by asking me If I have any brothers or sisters, insinuating

that I might need them for kidney transplant in the near future. I

pray to God this future to be as distant as possible, but then who

knows what's written for him.

What has been worrying me a lot lately is that recently I have lost

much weight (10Kg) for no apparent reason, as I have not changed my

diet habits. This is accompanied by a vague intermittent pain down

below in the groin area, something that really scares me. Did anybody

of you had any similar symptoms before?

Thanks a lot and farewell everyone. God, am I glad to be back again!!
