Foaming at the mouth, Allergies?

HI,My son has seasonal allergies. He has taken Zyrtec with success and we switched brands, because I think there was a recall on liquid zyrtec (cant keep track at this point). Before he would make this snorting type noise because he was snorting mucus. He would never have a dripy noise. Now he is foaming at the mouth, literally. His mouth fills up with foamy saliva. I am pretty sure this is because we switched off of the zyrtec. Unless someone thinks this is something else????/Jacquie

foaming at the mouth scares me....not to get too hysterical, but should he be seen by a medical person asap? Could be nothing, but.......Alison M Foaming at the mouth, Allergies? We have already tested for seizures, just recently for an MRI (absolutely no

previous damage with seizures) and a 24 hour EEG - Which found nothing. We

originally went in to get it all checked out and because at the time he was

blinking a lot. I think because he had some butter (milk). I stopped the

butter on bagels and no more blinking.

I really think this is because of the allergies. He also previously had

issues with plegm in his mouth, almost like making super mucousy spit balls

and he played with them. It was horrible. Sorry to be so graphic. I would

switch back to zyrtec but I am wondering if this could be also due to yeast?

Or has anyone tried anything other than zyrtec that has been successful for

allergies.

Hi, Foaming has been our issues since we start bio treatment end of last year. My 2 DAN Dr had been cracking their head to find out wht causing it.Lately, they think/suspect :One DAN Dr said - My daughter is detoxifying, but he is not sure wht is coming out through the saliva as my daughter has severe detoxification issues (fr methylation, sulfation and gluthatoine ALL impaired). The OAT test shows that.Another DAN said - It is due to heavy metal(especially Mercury) in her body that causing detox issue. Supplements such as Ester C (antioxidant) also causing her to have foaming/saliva. Beginning, she will have increase salivation and end of 2 weeks, she saliva is whitish like snow. I am sad as we still can't really figure out the problem. At first, i

thought it was seizure too. But doctors said no....We wanted to try chelation on August/september to see whether it is due to heavy metal.Any further input from members in this group?Regards,To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thursday, July 1, 2010 5:32:57Subject: Re: Foaming at the mouth, Allergies?
