Guest guest
Hi Tonya, Good to hear from you. You have a pretty full plate with your family, work and school, but yes, fatigue is definitely common with IgAN. Do have your doctor check your hematocrit to make sure that anemia is not compounding the fatigue. I know I could barely make it through the work day when my anemia was bad before I started Epogen/Procrit. It may just be your schedule is contributing to the fatigue. I know there is no way I could do all that you are :-) has just completed her transplant evaluation, and once the board clears her, she will have her potential donors begin their testing. Hopefully within a couple of weeks her donors can begin their processes. In the meantime, she is on hemodialysis, but her sessions are only 2 hours. She is trying to convert to PD, but we are praying that the skin will grow around her catheter. Hopefully she can start PD in the very very near future. had her transplant, then one rejection scare soon after but all is well. She will not return to work until November, but she has been going out and about running errands and such and trying to do more each day. Her donor is also doing well. Also Bob was scheduled to have his transplant on September 11th, so keep him in your prayers too. We have not heard an update yet on how he is doing, but I assume all went as scheduled. Take care of yourself Tonya, and try to get as much rest as you can!
