Guest guest
Hi all, It's me, newbie Chris. I just have another question (and thanks to all of you who responded so kindly to my previous post!). Does anyone know if an HMO will PAY for this Armour prescription should I manage to get my doc to prescribe it for me? I have Fallon Community Health Care. I'm going to be talking with my doc on the phone this week about some test results that I will be having on monday (an ultrasound for another, unrelated problem), so I'll bring it up to her. But I was just wondering if anyone out there had an HMO and if they get coverage for it? Thanks, Chris
Guest guest
even if they don't pay for it, Armour is cheap. I take 8 pills of 15 mg a day and the cost even at Walgreens is 20.00 Hi all, again! Hi all, It's me, newbie Chris. Guest guest
Probably your best bet would be to call them directly and see if they cover it. They might have a formulary so they will cover it but you might have to pay more for it. (With mine Armour/Thyrolar is $80 for 3 months but Levoxyl is considered generic so it's only $20 or so for 3 months.) Louise > Hi all, > It's me, newbie Chris. Guest guest
It is cheaper for me to pay out of the insurance Re: Hi all, again! Guest guest
I know Armour is cheap, I am not sure about the others Re: Hi all, again! I called Sams club to see how much a 90 day supply of Thyrolar would be and they said $83 so for me either way it's expensive.
