Guest guest
I went to the gi yesterday after having for about a week a lot of blood again in stool not just pinkness I could watch it drip and since it is diahrrea I don't have to push so I was concerned. I always run a fever of 100.4 every night that starts at 0800p.m. so I am used to them. Then two days ago the diarrhea got really watery and the bleeding stopped a little, real bad smell to it also. Since the bloody diarrhea the RUQ pain got a little worse too. The Asacol and Flagyl hasn't seemed to work. The Asacol prescription ran out two days ago. So I arrived at the gi's office yesterday and had been running a fever that day and I wasn't use to is happening during the day when they took my temp it was at 101.5. They then decided to do a sigmoidoscopy in the office, they started but then they had mechanical problems, on the way in, it wasn't providing any air so they couldn't see anything, argh. I was shaking really bad from the fever and the cold office! He decided to put me on Augmentin and Ultrase MT20 a type of enzyme capsule and also to eat more yogurt with live culture and enzymes in it. On the drive home a little over an hour I could tell my fever was elevated. By the time I got home I was feeling really terrible and spacey. I checked my temp it was at 102.6, I decided to just tough it out and lay on the couch with wet rags and a lot of water it finally went down after an hour or so to 101.6 then I went to bed. I am still waiting for an authorization to see the rheumotologist again for my joint pains and swelling. I still don't know whether or not I will be able to work on the ship again or not, they have not told me about any med boards or anything like that. Thanks again Luanne for all the info on Ty I hope he is doing good. I hope everyone else is too, to the new members welcome to the group. There are a lot of great people here for a shoulder to lean on and to share the love of life. dx Psc 17DEC02
