I agree that it SHOULD be up to the surgeon but ultimately we are all

responsible for our own health and owe it to ourselves to investigate

fully - once the complications happen it is a little late (what is it

they say - forewarned is forearmed).

Or does working in a hospital and dealing with things medical take

away the " scare " factor (for me) of doctors/surgeons and replace it

with a healthy cynicism (they are human just like us and forget to

tell things if we don't ask - appolog. to my bosses and workmates).

When we are vulnerable (as in overweight /obese) we can be too

trusting of others who are trying to help us (albeit with the best

intentions in the world) and some may find that if they had all the

information at the time of choosing the band they may have NOT chosen

it.

I just thank God that I have had a very positive experience with the

band as have most in my support group - even those that haven't still

say that they don't regret it for a moment!

Nuf now -

Hugs and kisses to all

Suzy
