Guest guest
Hi Krissy! I can see the back left side is growing a little more than the right but I am still so impressed with his progress overall. Since I really do not know, what do you mean by " has to fit the left more than the right. " ? Do they remove material from each side/area at every visit no matter what? Or should they keep the layer where it is on the left so that it doesn't grow out more in that area but just holds it? Sorry for the questions, as I know you really would like some answers! Anticipating that you will get some good advice soon.... Guest guest
Krissy, I don't think you should worry about one side growing a little faster. As long as your ortho seems fine with it. I've been thinking about how the head shifts it's plates around in repsonse to the active helmet. I imagine thats just the way it starts repairing itself. is still building the back of his head strangely too. It's slowly filling out from the base and the middle (not completely symmetrical either). I guess the last to correct will be the top of the back. You should be so ecstatic with 's results in four weeks. Just seeing the back of his head photo shows the major changes going on. I would love to see a profile of him too. He's doing just great. Guest guest
Krissy, I am very impressed with 's 4 week full-time wear progress with his Starband. I just took a look at the photos, and feel that his rounding is very significant. Thank you so much for posting these photos, since they are bound to provide encouragement to other parents of brachy/plagio babies! I noticed, as well, that it appears his back left side is rounding out a bit faster, so no wonder the ortho has to keep adjusting that side (since the growth is occurring on that side,) but it does look like the right side is rounding out as well (just not quite as quickly.) I know you must be pleased, it looks like you caught a great growth spurt with . Guest guest
Krissy! That is NOT ph!!! OMG I seriously have tears in my eyes for how good he looks. I am so overjoyed with happiness for you and ph. His progress is truly, truly inspiring!! I may just move to Florida to see your ortho if we don't get these results too. LOL You must be so happy. I really cannot see the bumps - perhaps it's the focus? I just think that the overall roundness of his head is so so beautiful. What has your neuro said about them other than that it is positive growth? Will they probably smooth out as he continues to grow? I still feel that the overall shape is most important and he just looks truly amazing. I am surprised to hear that you think it might be longer than 2 months but I guess I will just be patient and see what you think as time goes on. BTW, your hubby is CUTE! Wasn't there a picture of you on here before? You are a beautiful family. :-) Take care! Sue Colin F., 9.5 mos., brachy rt plag.
