didn't get his band until he was 16 months old. And there has

been so much correction. It's not total, but pretty good for his

age. He's had it for 4 1/2 months. He graduates in a week. I'm

still debating whether to get another band or not, he's 20 months

now, so anymore correction may not happen. But he sure got good

correction in this band. So definately, do the band!!!!! I kick

myself everyday for not pushing my dr. to refer us to Cranial Tech

sooner.

Hi Chen,

My son was treated at Cranial Tech in CT. They are terrific and if they

feel your

child would benefit from banding then I would band if I were you. Can you tell

us who

the doctor is? Some of them tend to be very conservative. I found the

craniofacial

clinic at Yale to be good, but very conservative. We also saw a specialist in

Boston and

he thought that our son would benefit from banding. We did band (mild-moderate

case) and saw great results. Your child is not too old to benefit, if the plagio

is indeed

mild then you will likely see good results in that you don't need a ton of

correction.

All the best,

mark (dad to , DOCgrad 1/19)

Chen,

I see you have already gotten some wonderful replies letting you

know that correction is certainly possible in older babies Carolyn's

age.

I just wanted to post and welcome you to the group! Please let us

know how her casting appointment goes, if you get a chance.

Take care,

Hi Chen,

I just wanted to welcome you and add to what everyone else said

about it being very possible to get some good results in an active

band at your daughter's age. The pictures in our DOCband B & A folder

of the 19.5 month old is the best proof! My daughter got her third

DOCband at 15 mos and still saw correction as well. Good luck with

Carolyn!
