Guest guest
Our son saw a Pediatric Podiatrist a few years ago that insited that all he needed was soft tennis shoes, and the ones the he had were too hard. The only thing softer has been crib shoes, which he has worn the last several years. He has recently graduated to size 4, which does not come in a crib shoe. Now with the harder sole, the great width of the shoes in comparison to his very narrow foot causes them to drop off out of shopping carts - he just lost one pair of shoes that way a few weeks ago and almost did it for another pair yesterday. At least with the crib shoes, my son has been wearing them out fairly quickly, and we are hesitant to special order Stride Rites to fit... I'm wondering if any of you have had solutions to narrow foot problems which you are willing to share. It would be nice if the doctor prescribed them, but at least a few years ago the doctor seemed very unwilling to consider it. Inga
Guest guest
Hi Inga, We had the same problem with . We did finally go to Stride Rite. The sneakers we bought for Josh, after trying on several pairs are plain white Keds. They are low top tennis sneakers, the high top ones were very wide. They are very lightweight and best of all were in stock!! They cost us $27.50. Josh is currently in a size 2 in that brand. I don't know if your son likes baseball, but, the Keds starting in size 3 come in the cutest style that has baseball stitching on the side. We also checked Baby Gap, but those are a little heavier, canvas. They come in a variety of colors and are about $10. When we went for Josh all they had in his size were pink! I hope this helps! - mom of (3yrs) & (15mons,11lbs10oz, RSS, ASD-repaired) ville, NY
Guest guest
, Do you know if Stride Rites last longer for wear than the less expensive brands? Are the Baby Gaps pretty narrow, too?
