What to tell people about NC?

I've been NC with all FOO for over a year now. My old friends know the whole

story but we just moved to a new town and I haven't yet told anyone about my

crazy mother and sister. I'm going to practice some new boundaries with new

friends and think I'll take my time telling people about nada.

I know I can easily lie or say anything ambigous about my family if someone is

to ask, but just wondering if any of you have some phrase that might work well.
