Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome.I couldn't remember if I ever posted here before, have been reading your posts for several months. Have had Fibro and RSD since a car accident in 1995,terminated from my job that year and now on SSDI.My husband and I are now both disabled and what a challenge life has been going from a 2 income family to SSDI. Finding a Dr. that will listen to you is nothing short of a miracle and after 5 years of searching we found one and it made all the difference in our lives. Now he is leaving and we only have several months to find a new one. I have RSD in my right foot, and I wonder if it is elsewhere? How is it determined if it has spread to internal organs. Is that even possible? When my Fibro flares up it feels like I am bruised everywhere.I have been through PT,aqua therapy(the best-for anyone who has never tried it)but you have to make sure the water is warm 88-93,IMO,all the meds, and still deal with varying levels of pain everyday. I still get depressed, frustrated, angry over the actual time I can spend doing anything physical, mental and am still adjusting to it. Acceptance of it all does have an effect on the pain, and learning to be okay with it is key. Probably all,or most of us,were used to being hardworking, productive, fun loving people and learning to love ourselves even if we now may have only 1 or 2 hours a day of actually doing something is a goal I am still trying to reach. We take turns doing things that produce pain but we still have to live.I had to do some food shopping one day,and it is one thing that sends my pain levels through the roof.It wreaks havoc on my foot, back and shoulders.Parked in a disabled spot and putting bags in my car, someone walked by and said I didn't look disabled to her. This still makes me cry more than get mad.How I wanted to take her home with me,and make her spend the rest of the day on the couch with a heating pad and meds that make me drowsy and watch the rest of a beautiful sunny afternoon shot to !##**!!!. Sometimes we pay someone to do chores for us,but it gets too expensive. Well, now that I have ranted, or rambled, gotten off the track, you know some of my story. Not any different than yours,so I apologize. Just feeling frantic over having to find a new Doc. Take best of care, Larraine
