Guest guest
Hi there my name is I am 28 and have one son Joe who will be 2 in February, I am married to for 3 years. A few months ago I notice a sore area in my left breast, sort of where the breast folds down, I guess you would say around 9 oclock but inwards toward my cleavage (clear as mud?lol)It is tender and at times throbs very lightly (though the other breast does this at time too, like when I am ovulating) Anyway, I mentioned it to my dr a few days ago, he felt and and said he def feels " thickening " in the area and told me i have to go get a mammogram. I had my mammo on Thursday and the waiting is so hard. I am trying to be possitive but I can feel it in my gut that this is bad. Does anyone here have any experience with thickening? I am having trouble finding anything on the web about it. I hope to get to know some of you and chat some more.
Guest guest
- The waiting is the worst. If you can gentley call your Dr. Office and ask for the results. Unfortuneately it is the noisey wheel that gets the attention. I was recently dignosed with Ductal cancer in my left breast. I have both a needle biospy and a stereotatcial core biospy. It took the second biopsy to get them to tell me what was going on. I go back to the Dr. (Oncologist) on Monday to get the results of my Bone Scan and Cat Scan, to see if it has spread and to setup my chemo. Just know that the people here are here for you and they will listen to you cry, bitch and wonder. They have helped me alot when I needed it the most. Learn what can about everything. Knowledge is power, I hope I am not sounding cold but that is what my best friend told me and she has been there through everything. She works in the medical feild and sometimes the only way she can discuss my cancer with me is to suggest I learn all I can. She has cried with my mother, and home alone, but she refuses to be anything but strong for me and is always there to kick me in the butt when I need it. Get your self a support network. Include in things he can come here as well and there are husbands he can talk with. Take care of you and sorry yo had to find this group under such terms/ Joanninejoeysmom03 wrote: Hi there my name is I am 28 and have one son Joe who will be2 in February, I am married to for 3 years.A few months ago I notice a sore area in my left breast, sort ofwhere the breast folds down, I guess you would say around 9 oclockbut inwards toward my cleavage (clear as mud?lol)It is tender and attimes throbs very lightly (though the other breast does this at timetoo, like when I am ovulating)Anyway, I mentioned it to my dr a few days ago, he felt and and saidhe def feels "thickening" in the area and told me i have to go get amammogram. Guest guest
Hi , I'm new to this as well. I keep being told I have the fact that my cancer was caught early and that I'm relatively young,in my favor. Now, I'm 45 yrs old so if it's true for me. Then it must be more so for you. I finally had my first mammogram in April. There was concern about a little bit of a shadow that showed in the left breast, was told to come back in oct. make a long story short I had a lumpectomy monday before Christmas and told I am lucky. Point is You're younger, stonger, have this group, your family to support you. You're very lucky. Everyone here has been more than comforting and supportive. As well as wishing you the best they are here to listen. Good Luck, > > > Hi there my name is I am 28 and have one son Joe who will be > 2 in February, I am married to for 3 years. > A few months ago I notice a sore area in my left breast, sort of > where the breast folds down, I guess you would say around 9 oclock > but inwards toward my cleavage (clear as mud?lol)It is tender and at > times throbs very lightly (though the other breast does this at time > too, like when I am ovulating) > > Anyway, I mentioned it to my dr a few days ago, he felt and and said > he def feels " thickening " in the area and told me i have to go get a > mammogram. Guest guest
welcome to the group. Call the dr on Monday. He can get a verbal report and let you know how the mammogram looks. I had no pain what so even with my lump. Do you drink a lot of caffeine cola, or eat a lot of chocolate and drink a lot of coffee? I do caffeine can cause problems. My one friend had a lump and the dr told her to lay off of the caffeine and it went away. I will keep you in my prayers.
