Guest guest
Hi we are new to this, too. is 3 and GFCFSF mostly SCD. I want to fully understand the food reqs before starting the intro diet. Re: your sons food, Smuckers peanut butter (the all natural version) has only peanuts and salt and Applegate Farms has some SCD legal hot dogs, their turket, chicken and beef. Good luck (to us all). Guest guest
Hi Kate - Nice to see another beginner! My son loves the applegate farm beef hot dogs but when I looked at the ingredients it had " sodium lacate (from corn or beets) " ....do you think they're OK? That would be one favorite he could keep:) I'll look for the peanut butter..I know arrowhead mills checks their peanuts to make sure they're safe but the kind I have here (honey sweetened) has " lecithin " in it...not sure if it's soy though..and it also says that it may contain some trace seaseme seeds. I'll search alittle more >Good luck (to us all). Ditto LOL > Hi > we are new to this, too. is 3 and GFCFSF mostly SCD. OK...I searched archives and they are not legal I take it so I'll learn to make my own:)
Guest guest
Benedict, If I'm not mistaken the beef ones are OK as well the turkey, I think its the chicken that has the no-no ingredients you listed. But I dont have the beef in front of me to check. Check your local health food store for other brands of beef. We currently found beef hotdogs that are legal. You can also make your chicken nuggets legal. I use cooked (boiled) chicken breasts ...chop meat in cuisinart, add egg to form chiken nugget shape and roll in almond/cashew (whatever nut)flour (add a little legal salt or garlic if you prefer) fry as you usually do in legal oil. I have read you can make fries out of butternut squash but havent tried it myself. Keep up the good work! mom to Baxter ASD 4 y 10 m GFCF 2 yrs SCD 8 weeks > > Hi > > we are new to this, too. is 3 and GFCFSF mostly SCD.
