Pick up tiny objects to put in mouth-regression?

Hi ,

My son is now on his fourth week on Valtrex, he has started to develop the bad behavior by picking up tiny objects from floor and put in his mouth. I wonder if this is regression? He seems to lost some of his cognitive skill as well. He is also fart very frequent currently and it is smelly.

Anybody has this experience bfr?
