Guest guest
Nancee, I've done the Avon Walk 2 years in a row! Last year I did the walk in Chicago & the year before I did it in Cincinnati. The walk is a WONDERFUL event! You will cry more than you think you will! I loved doing it in my hometown of Chicago! You can either walk 13.1 miles both on Saturday & Sunday or walk 26.2 miles Saturday & 13.1 miles on Sunday. I did the 13 & 13 miles on both days. The registration fee this year is $55 & the fundraising minimum is $1800. This year I decided to do the G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk here in Michigan & I've already raised $100 so far & I just registered Friday night! If you have any more questions, let me know! Guest guest
I have not done the walk but a friend went along with some people who were working the walk last year and said it was wonderful. In fact she liked it so much, she has signed up for the one this year in San Diego. I could never walk that far but I am going to be one of her " supporters " by donating to her cause. She has to raise a certain amount of money in order to participate as a walker. > > Has anyone done the Avon Walk?
