Dear P. & Jodi,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me feel like I'm not a

lunatic and that I am certainly not alone! You are right

when you said that I do not want a in a place that doesn't

appreciate her. Actually, on a lighter note I was wondering if being

dramatic and adorable are also characteristics of RSS! Because

that's how we feel our daughter is and if those strangers at the

daycare centers can't appreciate that then good riddens. The good

part of the story is that when I got home (still sobbing, though), I

felt somewhat stronger and thought someone must help me! I called

the state and spoke with a man who is trying to help me out with some

possible programs for a. In the meantime, I found a daycare

center run by two retired teachers. Nothing I told them seemed to

phase them... Well, we'll see.

Take Care,

Diane

Just remember that it all works out for the best in the end. I know that is

hard to believe, but you will find the right program for a and she

will be happy and, therefore, so will you. When we finally found the right

program for Max, not only did they love him for his great personality, I

made a lot of new friends, too. And, unfortunately, those tears you shed

will not be the last - whether or not your child has RSS. It goes along

with parenting. My babies are now 12 and 15!!!!!
