Guest guest
Hi all, I got my nut yogurt to look and taste good !! Both my girls eat it now without too much whining. I think I made these big mistakes last time : 1. Too much hazelnut residue in the milk. This time I " dripped " my hazelnut milk through a cloth in a fine sieve. The result was smooth milk. 2. Didnt squeeze out every last drop of milk. This time I tied up the dripping cloth with a knot and squeezed the very life out of my nut residue and it almost doubled my quantity of nut milk. 3. Last time I added just 1.5 tsp of honey as I was worried about salicylates in case the honey was not completely consumed (I know, its silly). This time I added the amount in the recipe and its fine, no sweet taste in the yogurt. The yogurt was also very thick and tasted very yogurtty. Just thought I would share the consequences of not following the recipe down to the last " t " . Deepa.
Guest guest
Deepa-- I am following the nut yogurt postings and I am wondering if you are ever going to also try seeds like sesame or sunflower to make yogurt. Has anyone heard of success stories with this as we are very allergic to nuts here. Thanks. , Mom to Brett, SCD 7mths. ASD
