Guest guest
To the group: I've been searching for current, reliable information on the use of aides / technicians in the Acute, SNF, and Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) environments after July 1st. My understanding was that as of July 1, their services couldn't be billed to Medicare. The APTA.org website has outdated 1999 and 2003 information, and some of the other " opinions " have been from representatives of organizations with a vested financial interest in using techs/aides. With the Congress's action to take us back to where we were economically on June 30, has anyone seen a solid reputable reference as to whether the standardized requirements for qualifications for persons charging for skilled inpatient services were also rescinded? Thanks for the information. Dr. Dick Hillyer W.
