Hi Cy,

Not sure what to do or think lately. The depression and anxiety is

overwhelming and I'm sure that it is not helping my deteriorating medical

situation. I

am scared, very scared.

I have taken everything everyone has said very seriously. A lot is going to

hinge on what my creatine level is. I find out next Friday.

Sorry I am such a bummer to all right now. I'm just very depressed.

Hi Colleen,

My apologies - that last email got away from me. You are not a bummer at

all. The depression you're going through is common to many of us here. The

scripts might read a little differently, but basically kidney disease is a

very scary thing. End stage kidney disease is even scarier - especially

with that slow motion decline. It's not easier when your not insured or

dealing with large impersonal hospitals that treat you like so much meat.

There's a lot to prey on the mind.

You mentioned that they were making you see a shrink (they did the same

thing to my husband - apparently, he " decompensated " once too often). It

may seem demeaning, but you might as well try to get some use out of him.

Many people on this board who have battled with depression have spoken about

the benefits of drugs.

Please let us know what your labs look like. I'll be waiting to hear.
