Just received my lab results

Ferritin 19 10-291 range

HGB 12.3 12-16

HCT 39.1 39-49

MCV 86 82-102

MCH 26.9 26-35

MCHC 31.5 30-37

Iron 36 35-140

Nothing out of range, but I would say this patient is anemic.

Thyroid labs

Free Thyroxine 1.3 .8-1.8

Triiodothyronine Free 2.9 2.3-4.2

TSH 1.609 .35-5.5

Nothing out of range, but this patient complains of thinning hair, splitting

breaking fingernails, fatigue, anxiety, depression, heavy periods, feelings

of nausea, and a basal temp that never reaches 98 degrees throughout the day

This patient would like to switching to Armour thyroid.

OK< I give. What are all those things? I rec. hematacrit but I can't spell it

and iron and ferritin . What are the other ones?????

By the way, my DR also had them test for transferrin. He said it was very low.

Has anyone else tested for it?

HGB hemoglobin

MCV mean corpuscle volume

MCH mean corpuscle hemoglobin

MCHC mean corpuscle hemoglobin concentration

low MCV is a sign of anemia (small cell size)

low MCH is a sign of anemia (low hemoglobin weight in blood cell) will make

cells pale in anemia

MCHC (amount of hemoglobin in an average blood cell)

Hematocrit (measure the portion of the blood volume that is made up by red

blood cells) low volume equals anemia

Hemoglobin - this is the iron-containing protein in the red blood cells

which form an easily reversible bond with both oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Hemoglobin level is a good indicator of the body's oxygen carrying capacity

Low values indicate anemia.
