Guest guest
Hi, Unfortunately, I don't have any numbers to report - from before during or after the treatment. No one ever took measurements - the doctor and cranial tech orthotist just compared with the head cast for each band to check progress. Our insurance didn't require measurements. Our doctor, a cranial-facial surgeon at Yale medical center, emphasized that numbers are deceiving since the head is such a complex form. He said what really matters is how the head is looking. I go along with that. I would like to emphasize that I believe it is worth moving forward with the second band if you think that you would like to see more correction (because that feeling will not go away). I think its even worth doing on the chance that you might get more correction - that is even if not much changes further because then you will feel that you did your best and took correction as far as you could. It was very important to me to feel that way to help squelch the pain of not noticing and preventing the problem from developing in the first place sooner.
