Guest guest
Hi Hope, It certainly doesn't sound like constipation to me, though I'm no expert. My main question is whether Gibson is heavy or skinny, or somewhere in between. If he's too skinny, then you definitely have a serious problem and should see a GI. If he's very heavy, ditto. I just heard an NPR program about obesity where a doctor mentioned a genetic condition in which people never feel full, no matter how much they eat. Even tiny kids can weigh up to 100 lbs because they feel hungry all the time. My experience with doctors has been that if they can blame something on autism, they will, without further investigation, as if it's impossible to have more than one disease or disorder at the same time. If he seems a pretty normal weight for his height, then I don't know what could be the cause.
