Hi All,

I am new here, although I registered as a member about a month ago.

I was diagnosed with a lump, and the docs have done a mammo and

ultrasound on it, every six months for the last two years. This month

tests confirmed it was getting bigger.

I am 55, and was on Prempro for 11 years.

I had a lumpectomy this AM, and it really was not bad. The wire

localization was worse, and even that was not too bad. They missed the

lump the first time, as they are dealing with four lumps, and only one

is suspicious.

Ok, here is my question, and although I have not been diagnosed with

cancer, I hope I am not out-of-line posting here.

The nurse told me that they were surprised to find the lump attached

to my chest wall. I don't think she was supposed to tell me that, as

the other nurse had a weird look on her face.

From what I am reading on the net, and no, I don't believe everything

I read, this is usually an indication of cancer.

Can I get some honest opinions please? My results will be known on

January 7th, and for now I am on Vicodan, ice, and was told not to use

my arm too much for two weeks. I am sure this is pretty standard.

Thanks everyone, and I think you are all strong and courageous.

I hate this ugly disease. While I don't have BC in my family, there

are lots of others cancers.

Happy New Year!

Kate
