Guest guest
Hi , First, please let me extend a very warm welcome to our group. I certainly do understand how overwhelming you can feel once you realize the seriousness of IgAN, so you are not at all alone. But let me encourage you that research shows that only between 30%-50% of patients with IgAN ever do progress to End Stage Renal Disease, depending on which research you look at. For the majority of people, it remains a fairly benign condition. I certainly do hope that is the case with you . Do you happen to know what your creatinine clearance levels or serum creatinine levels are? That will help me to know where you are in your progression, and perhaps with that information I can encourage you even more. Please know you are not alone, and you are among people who completely understand all you are feeling and going through as you process this and come to acceptance of having IgAN. The best advise I can give you is to not let IgAN rule your life or dictate to you what you do. Live each day to the fullest, accepting every day as a tremendous blessing. Try not to worry too much about tomorrow and what in all likelihood may never happen for you.
