Guest guest
Hi , Do You mean that you started the activated charcoal the day before the explosive d? If so, that may be the cause. I think some activated charcoal contains illegals. Explosive d after a week and half on yogurt isn't the usual bad reaction. That kind of reaction seems to happen with others with something given the day before or same day. So it may have been the charcoal. Either way you should pull back to more basic until he feels a bit better. Any chance it is viral? How is he now? My daughter had explosive d once after ingesting illegals. It took her a couple of days to clear it all out. Guest guest
Hey Sheila, Thanks for the post. Interestingly enough he just had bad D. no other symptoms. (The week or so prior really cranky and tantrum-y with the new diet, possible die-off I suppose but that seems to be waning). I was doing like 1 tsp-2tsp a day of yogurt then I increased it. He's up to 3tsp or more. But yes, the activated charcoal was 1 day before the explosive episode. I didnt stop either and we've had no probs since but I worry every time I send him off to school...would hate for the school to have to deal with that mess, not to mention he would be embarrassed in front of buddies. No, not viral. THanks for the insight. Take care, Mom to Baxter 4.5 yrs > Hi , > > Do You mean that you started the activated charcoal the day before the > explosive d? If so, that may be the cause.
