Tara,

Bands are made big to allow room for growth. Some movement is ok. If

you are concerned then take her in to see the ortho.

Let us know how you make out.

Hi Tara,

I'm sorry your having some concerns about Grace's band being a

little too loose. I don't have experience with helmets/bands since

we repo'd our daughter, but I have read that the band can " teeter " a

bit at the beginning of treatment when the headshape is at it's most

extreme, or immediately after adjustments. I haven't read about the

band " resting " on the ears as holding points, though, but I could be

wrong on that point. Why don't you follow 's advice and

contact your ortho for a fit visit? Sometimes it does take a few

visits to get the fit just right when the baby is at the beginning

of treatment, so don't hesitate to have your concerns addressed.

Maybe you could take some video or photos of Grace in " action " to

show the ortho some of the band movements you're concerned about.

Please let us know how things go,

Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)

Hi Tara:

Is Grace wearing the DOCband? The more severe the plagio & the more

assymetries in the baby's head, the more " shifting " or " rocking " the

DOCband does. The bands will have more gaps in the flat areas of the

head which will create more rocking. Still definitely address it

with your clinician and go from there! Hope it gets better soon, but

this is pretty typical with DOCbands especially.

Tara, I have to agree with Debbie. They discussed this with us at

our seminar. Is this a DOCBand? Were you able to get a call into

the clinician? Is it fitting better?
