Guest guest
He is on the caprylate complex for the yeast. Has anyone had positive results with this. He is now taking 2 a day, and I have to eventually up it to 3. Dr. Demio recommended it. He's been on GSE in the past. Maybe I should try it again. Thanks! > > My son who just turned 7 was doing so well until MArch when he had an abcess on his molar and have to have it pulled. They used a tiny bit of propofol (which my DAN doctor OK'd) to sedate him to pull the tooth. He was on antibiotics also. We started homeopothy on MAy 1st. A few weeks later he developed a boil on his leg which ended up being MRSA! He was put on cleocin 3 times a day. I know it is horrible for him, but MRSA is life threatening so I had no choice. He has been barking and making really strange high pitched noises ever since. He is on OLE, vit. C, vit e with mixed tocopherols, vit d,vit k, selenium, amino acids, zinc, culturelle, Same, TMGwith folinic and MB12, and caprylate complex, and cod liver oil. Am I missing something? I am getting tired of all of the supplements, and that is part of the reason we are trying homeopathy. Hopefully we can cut down on the supps and stick with 1 remedy. Any suggestions to stop the barking and noises? Any input on homeopathy would be helpful. We've done biomed for 5 years with some good results, but the ups and downs are starting to wear an me. >
Guest guest
Wow! I looked at a stool test he had done last summer. It says 0+. Guest guest
Barking is usually a tic. Tics include profanity, barking, throat-clearing, vocal clicks, facial grimaces, eye brow raising, hard blinking, and others. One of mine had several tics, to include the profanity one. Poor kid and me, the school personnel would not believe us that it was a tic. It looks like they can control it, and maybe they can a little, but they will do it without realizing it, so it keeps returning. It's related to pathogens and toxins as well. For my boy, it was probably Bartonella and mercury. Love and prayers, Heidi N

Guest guest
I was just reading about bartonella last week. It can be caused by flea bites right? When my son was 15 months old we stayed at a friend's house and he was covered with flea bites when we left. Is there anything I can give him to help this? It is funny that you mention profanity brecause he has been swearing lately which is very new and unusual for him, and then he'll say, " I won't say a naughty word again " . We also battle mercury and have tried DMSA, DMPS, recently glutathione cream and ALA. Thanks for your help! > > Barking is usually a tic. Guest guest
Bartonella is one of those pleomorphic bacterias that not only changes shape to avoid being killed, but also has strong die-off. We did try the Des Bio Bartonella series with no noticeable gains, but it did appear to cause a tiny amount of die-off, so I guess it tried to work. There are many things that kill Bartonella, but killing it all the way is the problem. We have rid symptoms from it, but have not rid the infection, in that symptoms come back when we go off of Bartonella treatments. So far, these things helped decrease the infection: Resveratrol, Cumanda, Houttuynia, Banderol, grapefruit seed extract, cod liver oil, and the probiotic Mindlinx. I think what is being learned is that one needs several different things that kill a pleomorphic pathogen, taken at the same time, to kill several forms of it in order to rid the infection down to a level that relapse is not imminent upon stopping the treatments. Most of the things I just mentioned cause strong die-off, so one would have to start one at a time with low doses, and have a die-off plan. In children with autism, they seem to be even more sensitive to die-off, which makes it more difficult to treat. I hear a lot of strong, long-lasting die-off stories. See what your practitioner says can work for your family. Love and prayers, Heidi N My daughter had a coughing tic that turned into a vocal tic. It's going on 4 yrs now. OLE and a few antibiotics did nothing. We are trying Des Bio strep series. What did you use for the Bartonella? Thank you also for the Flagyl advice. I found something about usnea working similar to Flagyl but haven't researched it more. I need to hold off on antibiotics because her gut is bothering her right now. Guest guest
I used Fry Labs in Arizona because I feel they are the best lab for it: http://www.frylabs.com/ They send you a large photo of your blood. You can get two types of testing, as in a visual test and an antibody test to use two ways to detect the infection. Two or more years ago, I got a $500.00 special where they tested two different ways for several tick-born infections. I came up positive for several forms of Bartonella and Babesia. I had the antibodies for both, but only the Bartonella showed up on the visual test. Love and prayers, Heidi N How do you test for Bartonella? Thanks, Alison M
