Hi

I noticed lately my son is probably having weaken enamel with his teeth.

I noticed just yesterday (don't know when this happened) that his front teeth

has chipped slightly. I can't imagine a trip to the dentist will be like. He is

2yr 9 months old.

I suspect this could be owing to

1) long term feeding of supplements with pear juice (could be acidic),

2) or insufficient calcium supply

3) I read it could also due to mercury /heavy metal.

Due to elimination of high sallicylates food, almost all green leafy vege are

not given. This greatly reduce natural calcium supply in food. Therefore, he is

heavily relying on calcium supplement.

Can you share with me how are you supplementing calcium? Some DAN drs say

regularly through out the day is good. But one of our DAN drs suggests ALL in

the morning when he wakes up.

So, if I am supplementing 1000mg, I have to give 1000mg all at once in the

morning. I also supplement Vit D3 in the morning along with Mag. No Zinc is

given at this time.

Is Calcium Citrate the only form the parents here supplement? If this is not

absorbed well, is there another alternative?? Bicarbonate form is also touted

not absorbed well...

He has been on low sallicylates diet for 6 months and hte benefits is unknown

but certainly the restriction has caused lots of issues for me.

Anyone like to share if there is any other good natural calcium source that our

kids can benefit from? Or better schedule to supplement Calcium based on your

experience? The last thing I want is him experiencing bone demineralisation.
