Guest guest
Howdy , In my opinion, everything looks very crooked and not right. That right ear is cut to far away from the ear, and that sideburn is too close to the ear, and the left sideburn looks closer to his eye than his right. It's almost as if they made the helmet and turned it somewhat clockwise on him, because it just does not look centered at ALL. Have you complained about this yet? I definitely would. It just simply looks like it was made crooked and if it were me I'd complain. I would insist for a recast/rescan. It's a ton of money to pay (doesn't matter whether or not insurance picked up the tab) and they should get it right the first time. Don't let them bully you into thinking it looks right. It just doesn't. Just my opinion. ~Amy, mommy to Jaden 8 mo's MN, plagio/mild tort/mild scoliosis, started CranioCap 4/23/04, started Chiro 6/29/04 --- In Plagiocephaly , " " <travisdgumm@y...> wrote: > Hey all it is me again- day 2 with helmet and in Jaxon/Helmet folder > there are pictures of his helmet- I don't mind it is wobbely I just > don't like how it is close to his right ear. what do you think? > Any feedback would be much appreciated > > Thanks >
Guest guest
I have to agree. It looks crooked. I would definitely call the ortho. I agree with Amy. It doesn't appear to be a good fit. Please keep us posted. Guest guest
Hi travis,, Um, it looks kind of crooked to me, does it always look that way. Is the ear getting red or irritated? Guest guest
Hey - It definately looks crooked, but I'm wondering about asking Greg to build up the back a little. They did that with Asher's and it doesn't shift so much. In fact, it's pretty tight now. When I mentioned the Iowa Hanger guy had built up the back, they said that was ok. We're going in to see them next friday (we get into town on Thursday night). Guess they'll rescan and see how far he's come. --- In Plagiocephaly , " " <travisdgumm@y...> wrote: > Hey all it is me again- day 2 with helmet and in Jaxon/Helmet folder > there are pictures of his helmet- I don't mind it is wobbely I just > don't like how it is close to his right ear. what do you think? > Any feedback would be much appreciated > > Thanks >
Guest guest
Hi Please let me know what your ortho says. His sideburn areas look huge compared to Colin's but I don't really know if it's necessary due to headshape. Colin has been in his Starband for 5 weeks and it still can shift forward. We go weekly for adjustments which apparentally are needed but this past week it has drove me crazy how low it gets to his eyes. We go tomorrow and I'm going to demand he fixes it but if he continues to tell me it's right there's not a whole lot I can do! I've already discussed this several times and he assures me that he cannot cut any more of the area above his eyes. I trust our orthotist but it still drives me crazy. I have extremely limited knowledge of the correct fit. His Starband doesn't shift side to side just back-to-forward. I do not, howver, adjust it every few minutes. I'll post after tomorrow's visit. Mine live on counters, on top of kitchen cupboards - they've just about taken over my kitchen. Absolutely good! Continuing fun and enjoyment with your healthy hobby! Margret (on a hot and sunny day in the UK :-) P.S. BTW, isn't the only one who has KT with a smooth guinness topping ;-) I don't do anything special ... it just happens after it has been maturing for at least a week (and the bottles been burped ever so often in the warm weather.) BTW, I have never had a Kombucha explosion myself, just crackings, but my pastor has in one of his cupboards where he stored a spare bottle of my Kombucha. He has one on order every week ;-) It was entirely his own fault for not heeding my advice ro release the pressure ever so often. Praise the Lord, nobody was injured, just a lot of cardboard of packages was soaked to the uttermost. I have never laughed so much in a church service - no wonder, our pastor is a master story teller. It made Kombucha famous in the congregation!! ;-) All the best, Margret, off to bottle some of the lovely stuff ;-) -- +------------------ Minstrel@... --------------------+ <)))<>< http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk <)))<>< http://www.AnswersInGenesis.com our church: http://www.newlifederby.org.uk Not liking someone is no excuse for not loving them. Guest guest
Thanks for answering my question on how long you let you bottles sit before opening. I will try to let mine sit longer. It seemes like I never have enough. I hope I can soon start another jar so I will have a litte more to experiment with. I love the story about your pastor. LOL I can easily imagine a good story teller cracking up the whole church over that. It would be well nigh imposible not to laugh. Oh well, good way to spread the good news of kt.
