I thought it would have been tighter, but the orthotist said he needed to grow into it in the beginning. Does this make sense? I really appreciate this group as a reference. Bands are often loose for the first week or so, especially on a child who has more assymetries and more severity. This is one of our more commonly asked questions in the group. I even posted a pic of my concern and you can see it in the " Hannah B " folder and it's called " Gap. " There was such a big gap where her flat spot was that her band moved a good deal. It basically was teetering between her pressure points and the shifting was much worse when she was lying against her head. The band was made for a round head and her head was far from it! I hope this makes sense. It shouldn't be loose enough that it comes off or covers his ears or eyes or anything, but there should be enough room for his flat area to " grow out.
