Guest guest
Dana, I just made a little pill box with separate compartments that come out like pill cups... It measures 4 cups by 4 cups, so sixteen total... I just sort the pills out into the pak and then just take what's in the next compartment when it's time... with some extra vitamin chips (I split my vitamin caplets into eights so that I can take a piece every time I eat.) So I take a thyroid when I wake, sublingual, then I eat my breakfast and take the first bunch of sups... then it's pretty much taking something on every hourly chime... A vitamin with a mini-meal, or whatever is in the next compartment. That makes it the easiest for me. The thyroid and the adrenal I take sublingually, everything else I swallow. If you're curious what it looks like.. give me a holler and I'll send you some pics of the layout I had last spring... I've not done the current assortment of pills but I'm still using the same pill boxes.. Just made more of them... I should take new pics... Even though I know Jamy will tease me... it's still this multi-dosing that was the trick that finally worked for me... I feel great, and I'm losing weight... Without reducing carbs... I just eat my mini-meals - 5 to 7 times a day... and maintain my calories between a minimum and maximum count that I've calculated for my weight goal.... I chop and sort pills every 23 days... and sort into daily pill boxes every 5 days. It's something I do while watching a movie... a two hour job every third week... a five minute job every 5th day. I'm human. I forget at times and then end up taking two doses of thyroid or adrenal at a time... or sometimes I'll take thyroid and adrenal together... I've not noticed any negative effects... but still try to stick to the schedule that I've set up for myself... The thyroid is upon waking and when going to bed, with the other doses spread evenly through the day... the adrenal doses are in the morning and early afternoon.... a bunch of supps with breakfast.. a few with meal number 3... and few with meal number 5... Vitamins with every meal... and a bunch of supps about an hour before bed. The best thing, the part that makes this all worth the hassle of multi-dosing -- is feeling so good... wanting to be active and getting chores done without feeling like death warmed over when I'm done.. It's worth messing around with, to find out what your body needs to do the healing and growing it needs to do... to make you feel alive again. With your list.. here's a suggestion for how I'd lay it out.... Upon waking - first dose of Armour, Sublingual Breakfast - then first dose of Selenium, the DHEA, 1/4 of the mulit-vitamin, 1 of the Vitamin C, one of the B-5, one of the B6 Adrenal Glandular, sublingual Lunch - 1/4 of the multi-vitamin Second dose of Thyroid, sublingual Supper - 1/4 of the multi-vitamin, 2nd dose of B-5, second dose of Vitamin C Third dose of Thyroid, sublingual - or at bed time if you prefer an hour before bed if you dose your last thyroid at bed time, or at bed time if you took they last thyroid earlier in the evening.- the last 1/4 of the multi-vitamin, the second dose of Selenium, the dose of Potassium, third dose of Vitamin C, last dose of B-5, last dose of B-6, Calcium/vitamin D supp, Cod fish liver oil Pop the first thyroid as you wake.... the adrenal under your tongue after you've finished breakfast and taken the dose of supps...That gives you a little 'pill cup' with each of your three meals. Remembering only one dose of thyroid during the day. With one 'pill cup' late day... and one other thyroid dose. Make sense? You get your thyroid and adrenals when you need them... vitamins with every meal.. supps for the morning.. supps for over night.... Guest guest
Yes please, every time I hear of this system, I am intrigued. If you would be open to sharing photos, I would like to see the " Topper Multi-dose system " " Patti in mi Re: Topper's multi-dosing made easy 101 If you're curious what it looks like.. give me a holler and I'll send you some pics of the layout I had last spring... Guest guest
Hey Topper, Thanks for your reply. Do you still wait an hour before eating after taking armour? I wasn't sure with taking it sublingually if I still had to or not. My adrenal supplement is so huge! I'm not sure I could take it sublingually or not. How long should I wait after a meal to take my adrenal supplement? I am interested in seeing your layout you made last spring. You can e-mail me at bhd@... Guest guest
Dana, With taking the glandulars (thyroid and adrenal) sublingually.. I'm not real picky about waiting, before or after, to eat. I've not had any trouble and still maintain good basals.... I often pop the adrenal right after a mini-meal so that I don't forget. I'm sending you copy of the page I did with the pill paks.. Guest guest
I'm not into multidosing as much as some of you yet. With thyroid meds, vitamins and now adrenal support, I still only dose four times a day. However much of the time, I am away from home for one or more dose times. One trick I like is using post-it notes for packing meds individually. May not be as cheap as Topper's system, but is very portable. To do this, lay a 3x3 post-it not sticky side up on the table and put meds in the center. Fold in thirds, bottom up first then top with sticky over that. Next fold the end under. Write directly on the little " package " and put in you pocket or coin purse. Works great for me, Blessings, Debbie K. PS Topper, I'd like for you to send me the file also. kirkland@... Guest guest
That's a slick idea! Your copy is on it's way... Mine takes some effort to set up... but the main box has been in use for 5 or 6 years... so, for me... it's worth it....
