sounds good, but I doubt I would ever want to deal with comments of

people who see it on my car. People usually don't pay attention to

things like that until they begin to search for it...at that point,

they would find a thyroid group on the interent anyway if they have a

computer. I deal with my " thyroid ministry " in other ways...through

my clients, for example.

Sounds good, and It would be interesting to see if we can get them on cars in

all 50 states! Advertise on Shoman's site!

Speaking of helping people, I've been thinking about that billboard idea

someone started a while back. It all got started when I saw a magnetic

sign on the back of a pick-up. It was a political sign about 18in x

24in (45x60 cm I think for you UK'ers). I've been thinking if we came

up with a really good sign and an easy to remember web link (like

thyroidhelp.com or something) that could point to our sight, I'd be more

than glad to pay for it and put it on my auto. I don't know what the

signs would cost, but for just a few dollars, you can register a domain

I think the magnetic sign idea sounds great, and much more affordable

than a

billboard. I would put a sign on my vehicle.

Magnetic signs can go on any vehicle you are driving -- portability --

and

they are quite durable if made properly.

Wow! Aren't you smart. That link I was talking about could have links

Ya know - I am smart.... I hope you didn't mean that sarcastically. We don't

do that here.

From your posts, I couldn't tell that you meant to include all that info. What

I meant is that if we want magnets on cars in every state, we would want to get

the info out where LOTS of people see it. 's site has a great-bigger

following than ours.

Patti!

I did not mean that sarcastically. I don't do that either--not here or

anywhere else. I really meant I thought you were very smart to think of

advertising (or announcing) on 's site. Please don't be offended.

Also, in my original post I mentioned about comming up with a really

short easy to remember web address. (I think I said something like

thyroidhelp.com.) Anyway, I thought if we get others involved (ie,

promoting it) we might have the web address go to a single page that had

links to this site, 's site, and any other really really good ones.

Please respond so I know you are clear on this.

Blessings,

Debbie

Thanks for clearing that up - that whole " tone of the written word " thing again!

No offense taken, and I am sorry I over-reacted.

Don't apologize for over reacting. After you pointed it out, I could

easily see how it was misintrepreted. I'm just so glad that you said

something rather than just assuming it was meant hurtfully and then

always having a bad opinion of me. One thing I like about all who

participate here is that when we get offended, we speak up then things

are either set straight or the offender owns up to it and apologizes. I

admire anyone who can apologize and would rather have them for a friend

any day.

Thanks again,

Debbie K.

How's this for a billboard:

The scene is a medieval dungeon. Chains dangle from the walls. A

guard patrols grimly in the background, perhaps wearing a white coat

and one of those shiny forehead things. Rats scurry around. You

get the idea. In the center is a dark cell with iron bars set into

the brickwork. Inside the cell is a very colorful butterfly (blue

morpho?), gripping the bars with its feelers and wearing a weary,

but determined, look on its face (n.b. find out if butterflies have

faces). Underneath, the caption reads in bold red letters:

FREE T3!

Should start a few conversations, anyway.

Bravo! Well said. Another thing I keep in mind is that since we are at

different levels of alleviating our thyroid symptoms, anyone can be having a

major brain-fog or moodiness that day that shouldn't be held against them....

What a wonderful group to hang out in!

Thanks again, Debbie.

Back to the discussion about the billboard - Someone once mentioned the need for

a dot-org that they could send their doctor to. Perhaps we also need a dot-org

web address along with the dot-com, so we can rope in the the docs too... Just a

thought. Maybe advertise the dot-org, and then for those who don't specifically

look for that have a parallel site - the dot.com redirect to the dot.org.

Good idea Patti. Both the dot com and the dot org can direct to one

site. I suggested that it (or they) direct to a single page with links

to this and other good sites, but now that I think about it perhaps they

should direct to this site only. That way, we don't have to has anyone

or any group police who gets on and who doesn't. I think we should just

direct to this site only. They can find out about the others once they

get here..........But then again, Shoman sure does have an awesome

site.....Always two sides to every issue.

Debbie K.
