Hello again

Well, our doc replied me already and said that Willow's cartledge

(spelling???) is somewhat different in her ears, but that it is no

problem whatsoever and that her head looks good.

I guess it really is ME!!! I must have stared at her head for soo

long that I see every pimple and every bump. Any good suggestions

on how to stop this obsession? lol

thanks

Cathrine, I haven't read all the other responses yet, but I think this is a good

thing. I think if you're

not ready, but are being monitored carefully by your doctor, then you're on the

right track. " Not

being ready " doesn't mean you aren't getting better. You are. But it's going to

take a little time.

Last November my mother-in-law went to have her knee replaced. Oddly enough,

there is a

woman here at work who needed a replacement too and went in for the same surgery

only

about 2 weeks after my mother-in-law had hers. By early March, when my in-laws

came to visit,

my mother-in-law was doing beautifully and getting around just fine. But

today--early June--the

woman at work is still using a cane and in fact suffered a setback when she went

to Las Vegas a

couple weeks ago and did a lot of walking. She still has to take an

anti-inflammatory. They are

both about the same age, they both had replacement surgery, both have good

prognoses and

high hopes for a healthy future but one got there sooner. In the case of the

second woman, still

having to use a cane doesn't mean she isn't healing. She is. But it takes

different people

different amounts of time to heal from the same issue.

I'm glad your doctor is looking out for you and I want you to feel better, so I

think you're doing

the right thing. I'm thinking of you and hoping you feel better!

I think & hope so.

But should I not wait longer than 6 months ?!

I guess I really do view Lex more as a band aid than a cure ?!

I don't expect it to cure me. I expect it to keep things

physiologically in balance as long as they are not balanced on their

own ?!

I would still follow your Doc's instructions....There is no " right "

time " except when your body/mind says so!

As far as a cure for anxiety and/or depression, I am not sure that

one really exists. There are chemical forces at work, but you

can " adjust " your thinking and understand the problem which helps

make it better. The thing I had the most success with was

eliminating the " negative self talk " a few years ago. That was a

clear example of thought process change. If conditions are caused by

chemical imbalances, then band aids are better than nothing!

Best of luck
