Guest guest Posted February 19, 2004 Report Share Posted February 19, 2004 Hi folks. I thought I should post something about myself! I own an antique store which is open 7 days a week. I work five days, (and sometimes 6 days a week). Some of those days are slow, and I can get on this site and see what's going on. But other days, it's busy and I don't see a thing here. Then, when I get home--BAM!! 2-3 pages of posts!! LOL. I also am married, belong to other groups, have other responsibilities, and am currently coping with the fact that my husband is getting treatment for prostate cancer. Thus, due to all the above, I don't always keep up with all of the posts as specifically as I'd like. Or rather, I don't always REMEMBER what each of you is doing!! SO, I want you to know how appreciative I am that so many of you are active and can contribute with each other!! Another thing: I tend to simply post my words. I don't always do a good job of describing the emotions behind my words...(i.e. I am not folksy enough!!). And I think that can cause misunderstandings! Additionally, I am an information seeker. I come from an academia background where folks just ask, challenge, debate, seek info. It's not taken personally--it's just an intellectual style. And I can see I need to do a better job of being more descriptive of my emotions behind my words here to avoid misunderstanding, and I will work on that.
