i'm a new member. my gastric bypass was on 9/22/03 and i was 265 then and

had just had my last child 2/19/03. i got just under 200 when my thyroid

started acting up....my TSH was 73 at one point....very hypo.....i spent a

long time mostly sleeping and even not eating hardly anything i was gaining

wt....i'm now 215 so i gained 15 back.....i just had a strange illness and

they can't figure out whats wrong but i was worried it had something to do

with the GB....even though i've never experienced nausea, vomiting and

dumping like so many others have after surgery i thought that was the

problem....here i was 2 yrs post-op and one sat nite after eating a rich

fattening resteraunt meal i soon started vomiting and bloated, heart was

racing and the vomiting wouldn't stop....had to go to ER....i was eventually

discharged with them thinking it was food poisoning....after home a few days

the vomiting started again...back to ER....this time after running test they

figured it was my gallbladder and it was removed and i was told that 99% of

GB patients have to have it removed....came home after that and started

vomiting again non-stop and went back to the ER....stayed another week and

put the light down in my stomach and everything came back good and he said

the GB was perfect but fixed an umbilical hernia....came home and only

vomited once but i'm very sensitive to eating now and basically only feel

good on an empty stomach.....anybody have anything like this happen? sorry

this was so long.
