Guest guest Posted December 2, 2005 Report Share Posted December 2, 2005 So I must ask....would you do it again ??????Marguerite, NY, 28 266 looking into GPS coprhed wrote: i'm a new member. my gastric bypass was on 9/22/03 and i was 265 then and had just had my last child 2/19/03. i got just under 200 when my thyroid started acting up....my TSH was 73 at one point....very hypo.....i spent a long time mostly sleeping and even not eating hardly anything i was gaining wt....i'm now 215 so i gained 15 back.....i just had a strange illness and they can't figure out whats wrong but i was worried it had something to do with the GB....even though i've never experienced nausea, vomiting and dumping like so many others have after surgery i thought that was the problem....here i was 2 yrs post-op and one sat nite after eating a rich fattening resteraunt meal i soon started vomiting and bloated, heart was racing and the vomiting wouldn't stop....had to go to ER....i was eventually discharged with them thinking it was food poisoning....after home a few days the vomiting started again...back to ER....this time after running test they figured it was my gallbladder and it was removed and i was told that 99% of GB patients have to have it removed....came home after that and started vomiting again non-stop and went back to the ER....stayed another week and put the light down in my stomach and everything came back good and he said the GB was perfect but fixed an umbilical hernia....came home and only vomited once but i'm very sensitive to eating now and basically only feel good on an empty stomach.....anybody have anything like this happen? sorry this was so long.
